ENSEMBLES
The Buffalo New Music Ensemble under the direction of Michael McCandless performed Twisted Figures (1988) for chamber ensemble. A prolific composer and extraordinary pianist, Michael McCandless was a founding member of two influential new music ensembles — the California E.A.R. Unit, still very much in existence today, and the Buffalo New Music Ensemble, active from 1982 to 1992.
